Hailing from the “City of Joy” – Kolkata, India, Sumontro received his Bachelor of Architecture from Bangalore University in 2002. Prior to co-founding Dimx Atelier in 2012, he had worked in noted firms across Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Bangalore & Dubai. Starting his career as Research Associate at CEPT, Ahmedabad, he has been the architect for a wide variety of projects ranging from the historical conservation works to the modern IT Campuses.
With extensive experience in design, documentation, management and implementation of the ideas, Sumontro, believes that the firm will perform at its best as long as there are new markets emerging and fresh talents evolving from the industry. He combines his creative thoughts with detailed technical skills that support the delivery of these ideas right through to completion of the building on site. He has also been associated with design jury panels and guest lecture for several design schools in UAE and India. He is the Co-Founding Principal of Dimx Atelier and the Technical Head.
